In the Name of Almighty lord the Benevolent the Merciful, It is important for me to continue what I believe to be my vision, mission and purpose in life and that is to provide a place for everyone to have sustainable, affordable, peaceful life in this world, where authentic communication and programming can connect people and bridge cultures. We believe with our Innovation, Projects, Technology, Products and Humanitarian Programs there will be a positive change in the world.

My life experience and variety of life lessons and circumstances, have informed my motivation to establish this organization; I have gone through a journey of personal transformation, with a broadening shift and a continued commitment to do my very personal best, to make a difference in the world; As an independent non-profit organization Somken Development Aid (SOMKEN) has the main objective of developing in the field of health, educational, cultural and economic sectors of the communities particularly those who are less fortunate living in the conflict zone and poor.

The core aim of Somken Development Aid (SOMKEN) Elimination of extreme poverty, empowering the vulnerable communities, creation of development program, a life of freedom and dignity to everyone regardless race, ethnicity and sex, free of violence and human rights abuses in the horn of Africa, justice and peace are our vision..

Professionals on humanitarian sectors of SOMKEN felt that there is an urgent need to interventions and they had the ability to access the grass roots and act as a bridge between the suffering and distressed local communities that are willing to volunteer Somali | Kenya people with the help of international organizations, well-wishers and charities. This was the philosophy behind the establishment of SOMKEN Somali | Kenya Working togetherness for socioeconomic development to the target societies through the strengthening their capacity and the implementation of the programs and humanitarian and protection interventions with participatory approach to all levels of community to defeat poverty, ignorance and reach prosperous with stability and protective environment.

SOMKEN GOALS:
 To provide protection concern of IDPs, Refugees, Returnees and Local communities through in a sustainable manner with host community awareness and provision of better services and equal rights.
 To act of humanitarian assistance, and stabilization of food security in the rural and reverie areas though mobilization of national and international resources.
 To ensure that human rights of all persons are secure of in their enjoyment of their goods and freedoms that are necessary in dignified living. Education is one of the basic needs and everyone has the right to access to education, children and youth have their own dream to succeed in their future undertaking, the courage of young generation is at the optimum, to contribute to the development of their peaceful and prosperous community, but some of them were trapped in the environment that they themselves do wish to be there such as being poor, under privileged and in conflict countries.

Somken Development Aid (SOMKEN) understands these aspirations and hope of these young, energetic potential leaders. Somken Development Aid (SOMKEN) believes on the strength of cooperation and friendship, although Somken Development Aid (SOMKEN) was established 2014 it has successfully received support from the governments of United State of America and Kenya, Somalia and particularly from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health, implemented projects related to Education benefiting children and youth from Kenya, Somalia.

We really hope to strengthen the relationship between government institutions and their counterparts all over the world, we welcome your cooperation and involvement in this noble effort to educate future generations and improve health sector, thus, hoping to bring peace to the world and progress to humanity.
